Ever since my husband and I got our large outdoor grill, it has been our go-to cooking method for as long as we have good weather. Being able to cook on the grill is not only a great way to get fresh air, but it also helps keep our house immensely cooler in the hot summer months. So, of course, we’ve tried cooking as many different meals on it as possible!
There is one food course that not many people think about using the grill for though: dessert! That’s why I’m so excited to share this little gem of a recipe that has quickly become one of my family’s favorites! I’m going to break down how to make these irresistible Grilled Peaches with a simple Cinnamon Butter Glaze!
One of the best perks of living in Colorado is having an abundance of the world-famous Palisade Peaches available near our home. Since I can find these being sold for $5 a box in rural areas around here, I try to take full advantage of having these tasty treats nearby. Any chance I get to make a fancy -yet incredibly simple- dish, I do it with these irresistible grilled peaches!
This recipe is so simple and quick that it can easily be done in a matter of minutes, even if one is a beginner or isn’t the best at grilling things. The end result is always stunning! Don’t have a grill? No problem! These yummy peaches can be cooked in the oven or on the stovetop in a cast iron griddle and still turn out delicious!
Even though this recipe has become one of my family’s favorite desserts to enjoy during the summertime, it’s also a wonderful treat to enjoy in autumn as well! If you’re still able to get your hands on some good peaches, that is. These grilled peaches are an excellent healthy substitute for the traditional peach or apple pies that are the usual autumn go-to sweets.

For this sweet and simple recipe, I only need the help of a few common kitchen tools and grilling utensils. If you cook often and have an outdoor grill then you probably already have everything you need to make this recipe successfully! Here’s what I use to make these delectable grilled peaches:

How to Make Sweetly Satisfying Grilled Peaches with a Cinnamon Butter Glaze
Now that I’ve covered the tools and ingredients that I use for this natural dessert recipe, I’ll move on to the part where some real flavor magic happens! Without further ado, here is my process for making irresistible grilled peaches with a simple and sweet cinnamon glaze:
- First, preheat the grill on high heat.
- Then, in a small mixing bowl, beat the room temp butter with a hand mixer until smooth.
- Next, add in the cinnamon sugar, granulated sugar, and salt and mix again until completely combined.
- Then, use a silicone brush to brush both sides of the peach halves with the canola oil.
- Transfer the prepared peach halves to the hot grill, with the cut side facing down. If you don’t want this part to get too messy then use some of these handy copper grill mats.
- Cook for about 5 minutes, then flip the peaches and add even amounts of cinnamon butter to each one, and continue to grill until the butter melts completely.
- Finally, remove the peaches from the grill and serve immediately with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream and your favorite garnishes.
Storing Grilled Peaches
To store grilled peaches, first transfer them to an airtight container. Keep the peaches in the fridge for up to 3 days. These can be served cold or reheated in the microwave for a few seconds on 50% power.

Naturally Sweet Treats
As someone who loves to bake sweet treats as often as I can, I also like to make sure to use fresh fruits as much as possible. Instead of loading up all of my homemade pastries with nothing but sugar, I much prefer using all-natural flavors when I can. Don’t get me wrong, though, I love chocolate cake just as much as the next person! I just prefer the flavors of natural sweetness. Here are some of my favorite fresh fruit desserts:
- Apple Oatmeal Cookies
- Apple Sharlotka Muffins
- Black Caramel Apples
- Apple Bundt Cake with Caramel Glaze
- Pumpkin Pancakes
- Coconut Banana Pancakes
- Pumpkin Pie Mug Cake
- Pumpkin Bread
- Caramel Banana Muffins
