    INSTRUCTIONS

    Fudge

    • Begin by measuring all of the ingredients you will need for the chocolate pistachio fudge recipe.
    • In a saucepan, fill 1/3 of the way with water and bring it to a simmer. Then, turn down the heat to low.
    • Place a large bowl over the pot, making sure the bowl doesn’t touch the water.
    • Combine chocolate chips, condensed milk, butter, and vanilla extract in the bowl.
    • Mix continuously with a silicone spatula.
    • The mixture is ready when the chocolate chips are melted and the mixture reaches a smooth consistency.
    • Add pistachio nuts into the fudge mixture.
    • Gently fold the pistachios into the fudge mixture using a silicone spatula.
    • Line a cheesecake pan with parchment paper.
    • Transfer the fudge mixture into the cheesecake pan.
    • Use the silicone spatula to spread and smooth the fudge mixture evenly in the pan.
    • Sprinkle crushed pistachios on top of the fudge.
    • Gently press the nuts into the fudge with a clean silicone spatula.
    • Refrigerate the fudge for 2 hours or preferably overnight to allow it to set.

    Cutting fudge

    • Once the fudge has hardened, prepare a cutting board, disposable gloves, and a large knife for cutting. Remove the fudge from the fridge.
    • Peel it off the parchment paper. Place it on the cutting board.
    • Score the fudge using a 5-wheel pastry cutter.
    • Turn the fudge block 90 degrees and score again to ensure even squares.
    • Cut the fudge block along the scored lines, wiping the knife with a wet kitchen towel after each cut.
    • Push the cut pieces together to maintain their shape.
    • Turn the fudge block 90 degrees and finish cutting the fudge using the scored guidelines.
    • Now, you should have perfectly squared pieces of fudge ready to enjoy!

    Cooling and Setting

Now comes the exciting part of cooling and setting the Chocolate Pistachio Fudge. This step is crucial in creating the perfect texture that will leave you wanting more. Let me guide you through the process:

    1. Importance of Allowing the Fudge to Cool: Cooling the fudge is key to achieving the desired firmness and consistency. It’s tempting to dive right in, but a little patience goes a long way. Trust me, the wait will be worth it.
    2. Recommended Duration for Refrigeration: I highly recommend refrigerating the fudge for a minimum of 2 hours, or even better, overnight. This extended cooling time allows the flavors to meld together and intensify, resulting in a truly delectable fudge.
    3. Covering the Fudge: While refrigerating, it’s important to cover the fudge to protect it from drying out or absorbing any unwanted odors. Simply place a layer of plastic wrap or aluminum foil over the pan, ensuring a tight seal. This ensures that your fudge stays fresh and maintains its incredible taste.

By giving the Chocolate Pistachio Fudge enough time to cool and set, you’ll achieve a delightful treat with a perfect balance of creaminess and firmness. The flavors will have a chance to develop and harmonize, creating a mouthwatering experience. So, exercise a little patience and let the fudge rest in the refrigerator, knowing that the end result will be absolutely amazing.

In the next section, I’ll share my tried-and-true techniques for cutting the fudge into neat and beautiful pieces, allowing you to savor each bite in style.

    Serving and Storage

When it’s time to serve the Chocolate Pistachio Fudge, I relish in sharing it with loved ones. Here’s how I serve and store this delightful treat:

    Serving

Carefully cutting through the velvety layers of fudge, each slice reveals the rich chocolate and satisfying crunch of pistachios. As I arrange the pieces on a platter, their vibrant colors and aroma captivate.

    Gifting

The Chocolate Pistachio Fudge makes a heartwarming gift. Individually packaged in decorative boxes or tins with festive ribbons, it brings joy to friends and family. Each piece serves as a sweet reminder of our shared moments of happiness.

When it comes to storage, follow these tips:

    Storage

To maintain freshness and texture, store the fudge in the refrigerator. Wrap it tightly in plastic wrap or place it in an airtight container. This helps preserve its flavor and prevents moisture or odors from affecting it.

    Freezing

If you have extra fudge or want to save some for later, freezing is ideal. Cut the fudge into portions and wrap each tightly in plastic wrap. Place them in a freezer-safe container for a delightful taste of the holidays anytime.
