Marble Background for Food Photography

When it comes to gift-giving for my friends and family, I like to make homemade sweets and treats to pass out. Food gifts are excellent because, first of all, who doesn’t love food, and second, it’s an inexpensive gift made with love!

One of my favorite food gifts to make is fudge! I love making my homemade fudge for Christmas gifts since it’s easy to make, it tastes spectacular, and the flavor possibilities are endless! I like to make several different flavors of fudge, like Chocolate Fudge with Peanut Butter Swirl, White Chocolate Cranberry Pecan Fudge, or Classic Chocolate Fudge.

Want to know what makes these food gifts even better? They can be prepared a few months ahead of time! How is that, you ask? Well, what I do is start preparing my Christmas fudges in September, and then I freeze them until I’m ready to gift them! It’s my favorite Christmas hack since it’s like starting the holiday shopping early, but way better!

But fudge doesn’t have to be a Christmas-only kind of gift. Want a Valentine’s Day alternative to the generic box of chocolates? Or how about swapping out a super sugary birthday cookie cake for a more decadent sweet treat that actually costs less? Homemade fudge is perfect for any gift-giving event!

Freezing fudge is super simple to do and saves you a ton of time once the holidays get here. It can actually be a huge lifesaver and sanity saver! Here’s my simple method for How To Freeze Fudge!

To freeze fudge, all you need is: an uncut block of fudge, a Ziploc gallon bag, and a black sharpie. First, label the date on the outside of a freezer-safe Ziploc bag with the black sharpie. Then, transfer the block of fudge to the Ziploc bag and seal the bag closed while pushing out the extra air. Store the fudge in the freezer for up to 3 months. Before serving, transfer the frozen fudge to the fridge to thaw for 2 days.

How to perfectly package fudge for gift-giving and the holidays! When it comes to holiday shopping or constant birthday shopping for big families, the prices of individual gifts start to pile up really quickly! That’s one of the reasons why I decided to start making food gifts instead. Along with the fact that I already love cooking and baking, I also love making others happy with my sweet treats!
