All it takes is a few minutes and you can add a little extra “umph” to any drink!
I’m talking about a simple lemon twist, of course! We’ve seen these little cuties add flair and just a hint of lemon flavor to cocktails for years. So why not bring something so simple, yet adorable, to our house parties, picnics, cookouts, and get-togethers?
Just a few tools, a lemon, and a few minutes are all you need to make these cute drink garnishes! Ready to add a little bit of that summer flair to your beverages? Let’s get started! Here’s how to make a perfect Lemon Twist!
To make a perfect lemon twist, all you need is: a room-temperature lemon, a sharp fruit knife, and a cutting board. First, wash and dry the lemon. Then, using a sharp knife, cut away the outside rind (or skin) of the lemon. Make sure to remove any of the lemon flesh from the rind. Then, twist the whole rind up tight. Hold it in place while slicing several individual “twists”. Then twist the individual cuts, even more, to help hold the twisted shape. Garnish and serve!
