Dying to know what the secret is to keep your family fed with delicious and nutritious meals all the time? The secret is in simple meal prep! All you have to do is use some free time on the weekends, or whenever you have it, to do some easy meal prep that will save you tons of time during the week!

I cannot tell you just how much meal prepping has been a lifesaver! Thanks to these kinds of meals, even on the most chaotic and busy nights, I can still have a quick and easy dinner solution that’s way healthier and tastier than a fast food drive-thru!

While a lot of people like to grab those frozen meals at the grocery store for quick and healthier options, those pre-made manufactured meals can still contain all kinds of secret ingredients and usually a lot of sodium too.

I prefer to make my own frozen meals at home, so I know exactly what’s going in there, and so I can customize them with my family’s favorite ingredients! One of my favorite meal prep recipes is this one for my Homemade Shrimp Scampi Frozen Meals!

This is one of those delightful under 30-minute meal prep recipes, and it makes 4 batches. After being frozen, these shrimp scampi meals can be cooked and ready to eat in about 5-10 minutes! So let’s break that down, with my recipe you can make 4 frozen dinners in about 25 minutes that can be cooked in about 5-10 minutes each during the week.

If you spend an average of 30 minutes cooking dinner at night, this recipe cuts your weekly cooking times in half! It’s the overall best way to keep mealtimes hassle-free and healthy! Ready to see for yourself? Here’s how to make my homemade frozen shrimp scampi meals!

    Cooking the Pasta:

    1. First, measure out the linguine ingredients with the measuring cup and spoons.
    2. Then, pour the oil, salt, and water into the cooking pot.
    3. Cover and bring the ingredients to a boil over high heat.
    4. Then, reduce the heat to medium and add in the linguine pasta.

    8. Finally, carefully drain the pasta through the strainer.

    Preparing the Packaging and Shrimp:

    1. Start by grabbing the 4 Ziploc freezer bags and the sharpie marker.
    2. Then, use the black sharpie to label the date on all the bags.
    3. Open the bags and roll down the tops to prop them open.
    4. Next, divide the pasta evenly among the 4 bags.
    5. Then, evenly divide the frozen shrimp among the bags.
    6. Divide and add the chopped shallots and minced garlic to each bag.
    7. Next, add the cooking wine, salt, and pepper to each.
    8. Add the portioned butter and oil to the shrimp bags.
    9. Lastly, add in parsley and lemon juice to each bag.
    10. Finally, remove as much air as possible from each of the bags, zip to seal, and store them in the freezer for up to 2 months.
