How to Make Perfect Peppermint White Chocolate Cookies
Now let’s make some holiday magic happen! There are a few phases to this recipe but overall it’s a really easy and simple process. Just read over the instructions before getting started so you know what to expect throughout the process as you make these yourself. Here’s how to make irresistible white chocolate peppermint cookies:
Making the Chocolate Cookies:
- First, use the measuring cup and spoons to measure out all of the cookie ingredients.
- Then, in a small mixing bowl, use a blending whisk to combine the eggs, vanilla extract, and peppermint extract.
- Next, in a medium-size bowl, combine the cake flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Combine the dry ingredients with a clean blending whisk.
- Then, in a separate large bowl, beat together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar with a hand mixer.
- Keep beating until the butter and sugar mixture is mixed well and smooth.
- Next, pour the egg mixture into the butter mixture and mix again until everything is completely combined.
- Then, ⅓ at a time, add the dry ingredients into the wet, mixing well between each addition.
- Keep mixing until the cookie batter is completely combined. Then, line a baking sheet with a sheet of parchment paper.
- Next, use a small dough scoop(0.5 oz) to scoop rounded cookie dough balls onto the lined baking sheet. Don’t worry about spacing them out just yet.
- Chill the cookie dough in the fridge for 30 minutes. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- Next, line a separate baking sheet with parchment paper. Transfer the chilled dough scoops onto the new baking sheet, spacing the dough balls 2 inch apart.
- Bake the holiday cookies for 8-10 minutes.
- Once baked to perfection, let the cookies cool slightly on the pan, then transfer them to a wire cooling rack to let them cool completely before dipping into the chocolate. If you try to dip warm cookies, the chocolate will just slide right off.
Making the White Chocolate Dip:
- First, melt the white chocolate chips in a candy melting pot, one bag at a time. Remember to occasionally stir the chocolate with a silicone spatula while melting.
- Keep reading to see an alternative melting method if you don’t have a candy melting pot.
- Keep heating until all the chips are completely melted.
- Then, pour the melted chocolate into a small glass bowl.
- Next, prepare a sheet of parchment paper where you will be putting the chocolate-dipped cookies to set. Grab the cookies, peppermint chips, and white chocolate dip.
- Then, one at a time, fully emerge each of the cookies into the white chocolate. Use a fork to pull the cookies out of the chocolate after dipping.
- Check to make sure the cookie is completely covered in chocolate.
- Then, gently place the dipped cookie on the parchment paper and immediately sprinkle peppermint chips on top. Repeat for the remaining cookies.
- Finally, after dipping, let the white chocolate peppermint cookies set completely before serving or packaging.
Holiday Cookie Gift Box Packaging:
- First, gather up all the gift box packing materials.
- Then, line a cupcake container with some colorful wax paper square sheets.
- Fill the treat box with homemade holiday cookies.
- Finally, close the lid of the container and finish the package with a Homemade with Love Sticker

Alternative Chocolate-Melting Method
If you don’t have a nifty candy melting pot in your kitchen collection, here is a simple microwave melting method that will work for anyone!
How to Melt Candy Melts in the Microwave:
- First, pour the candy melts into a heat-safe bowl or silicone measuring cup.
- Then, heat the candy melts in the microwave at 50% power, or on a defrost setting, for 1 minute.
- Next, stir the candies thoroughly.
- Use a towel or an oven mitt to protect your hand from the heat when handling the bowl or cup.
- Then, continue to microwave the candies at the same low setting in 15-30 second intervals, stirring in between each interval, until the candy is almost melted.
- Finally, let the candy sit for about 1 minute to let the residual heat take care of any small unmelted pieces of candy leftover.
- If you try another interval of cooking at this point, the candy could overcook and burn so it’s better to let the candy sit and take care of itself.

Storing Peppermint Chocolate Cookies
The best way to store chocolate-dipped cookies is to transfer them to an airtight container lined with paper towels. Stack the cookies in between wax paper layers, if necessary. Keep the cookies stored at room temperature, out of sunlight, for up to 2 weeks. Always label the date on the outside of the container.
