    INSTRUCTIONS

Now, let the magic unfold as we follow the step-by-step instructions. In a saucepan, over low heat, melt the chocolate chips, condensed milk, butter, and a hint of vanilla extract. Stir the mixture until it transforms into a smooth and heavenly concoction. Oh, the aroma filling the kitchen is simply divine!

    Darker/Bottom Layer of the Fudge

    • Measure all the ingredients needed for the candy cane fudge recipe.
    • In a saucepan, fill 1/3 of the way with water and bring it to a simmer.
    • Reduce the heat to low and place a large bowl over the pot, ensuring it doesn’t touch the water.
    • Combine chocolate chips, condensed milk, butter, and vanilla extract in the bowl.
    • Mix the ingredients together.
    • The mixture needs to be well combined, and the mixture is smooth.
    • Add crushed candy canes to the mixture.
    • Fold in candy canes using a silicone spatula.
    • Line a cheesecake pan with parchment paper.
    • Transfer the fudge mixture to the pan.
    • Use a clean spatula to spread the mixture evenly.
    • Refrigerate for 1 hour.

White Layer/Top Layer of the Fudge

    • In a saucepan, fill 1/3 of the way with water and bring it to a simmer. Reduce the heat to low and place a large bowl over the pot, ensuring it doesn’t touch the water.
    • Combine white chocolate chips, condensed milk, butter, and vanilla extract in the bowl.
    • Mix the ingredients together until well combined and the mixture is smooth.
    • Take the cheesecake pan with the first layer of fudge from the fridge.
    • Transfer the white chocolate layer fudge mixture into the pan.
    • Use a clean spatula to spread the mixture evenly.
    • Sprinkle more crushed candy canes on top of the fudge.
    • Gently press the candy canes into the fudge. Refrigerate for a minimum of 2 hours or preferably overnight.

    Cutting the Fudge

    • Once the fudge has hardened, prepare a cutting board, disposable gloves, and a large knife. Have a wet kitchen towel on hand to wipe the knife after each cut.
    • Remove the fudge from the pan.
    • Peel it off the parchment paper.
    • Place the fudge on the cutting board.
    • Score the fudge using a 5-wheel pastry cutter.
    • Turn the fudge block 90 degrees.
    • Score again to create even squares.
    • Cut the edges of the fudge with a large knife, wiping the knife with a wet kitchen towel after each cut.
    • Push the pieces back together.
    • Turn the fudge block 90 degrees and finish cutting the fudge using the scored guidelines.
    • Now, you can enjoy perfect pieces of candy cane fudge!
