I just love getting creative in the kitchen, especially when it comes to making cakes and cupcakes. Baked sweets like those are just so versatile and easy to experiment with, they’re perfect for mixing and matching different flavors! One of my favorite ways to change up typical recipes is to add in some fresh fruit wherever I can.

You’re probably familiar with strawberry frosting but what about irresistible and tangy raspberries? You can find candy boxes at the store with raspberry-filled chocolates so doesn’t it just make perfect sense that the flavor combo would be perfect for cupcakes too?! That was my thought process when it came to whipping up this fresh Raspberry Buttercream Frosting.

Let me tell you, this fresh raspberry frosting turned out to be a perfect match for my moist chocolate cupcakes! I just fell in love with my first batch of Raspberry Chocolate Cupcakes and they immediately made their way onto my favorites list.

But this fresh raspberry frosting isn’t just for chocolate. It’s the perfect pep up to vanilla cupcakes too! It’s impossible to have bland cupcakes with such a fresh and flavorful frosting! And the best part? It’s super easy to make and only takes a few minutes! Here’s how to do it.

First, puree the raspberries and set them aside. Then, blend the butter and cream cheese together. Slowly mix in the powdered sugar.
