How to Make A Delicious Watermelon Margarita
Now let’s get down to this margarita-making business! This easy summer drink process is very simple and quick to do. There is a little bit of watermelon prep that needs to be done a few hours beforehand though so make sure to take this into consideration when it’s time to get started.
Making the Margarita:
- First, prepare your watermelon by cutting it into slices. Cut off the rind from each slice and cut the watermelon slices into very large chunks.
- Cut an extra watermelon slice or two but leave the rind on. Cut those slices down to 4 large watermelon chunks that will be used for garnishing later.
- Transfer the bowl of watermelon chunks to the freezer and let them freeze for 3 full hours.
- Then, pour the frozen watermelon chunks into a blender.
- Next, use a lemon squeezer to squeeze the fresh lime juice from 2 limes into the blender. Then, pour in the sugar, Triple Sec, and your favorite Tequila.
- Finally, cover the blender securely with its lid and blend the watermelon margarita mixture until everything is just combined and a “slushie” consistency is reached.
Garnish with the Goods:
- First, prepare your garnishes by slicing the limes into wedges and pouring the salt onto a saucer big enough for the rims of the glasses.
- Then, run a lime wedge over the entire rim of 1 of the glasses and then immediately dip the glass rim into the salt. Repeat for the other 3 remaining glasses.
- Lastly, pour the watermelon margarita mix evenly amongst the 4 glasses and garnish them with the 4 watermelon chunks and lime wheels. Serve and relax!

Absolutely scrumptious!! Big hit at our gathering!! The only thing I did differently, was to blend the watermelon, run it through a strainer and then freeze it in ice cube trays. I then added a few ice cubes to the mix later. YUMMY!!
