    One of my family’s favorite easy recipes of mine is this one for my simple and scrumptious Shrimp Scampi with Pasta! All I need is a few simple ingredients and about 30 minutes, and I can have a scrumptious and satisfying meal ready in no time!

    This sensational scampi is packed with nutritious benefits, fresh flavors, and savory seasonings to make this one of the best, easiest seafood recipes out there! Want to give it a try? Here’s how to make my simple and scrumptious Shrimp Scampi with Pasta!

    Simple Scampi Equipment

    First, I’ll start with my simple and short equipment list. I don’t need a whole lot of tools for this easy recipe, just a few typical kitchen utensils. Here’s what I use to make easy shrimp scampi with pasta:

    • Measuring spoons
    • Measuring Cup
    • Cooking pot, 6 Quart
    • Nonstick frying skillet
    • Silicone spatulas
    • Mesh Colander
    • Kitchen tongs

    Scrumptious Scampi Ingredients

    Next, I’ll break down my scrumptious scampi ingredient list! Surprisingly there’s not much needed here either, just a few simple seasonings, pasta, and shrimp. Here are my ingredients for simple shrimp scampi with linguine:

    Linguine:

    • 8 cups water
    • 1 tsp salt
    • 1 tbsp Olive Oil
    • 1 lb Linguine– 1 box

    Shrimp Scampi:

    • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
    • 2 shallots, chopped
    • 3 cloves garlic, minced
    • 1 lb shrimp, defrosted
    • ¼ cup white cooking wine
    • ¼ tsp Ground Pepper
    • ½ tsp salt
    • 2 tbsp Olive Oil

    Garnishes:

    • 2 tbsp Lemon juice
    • ¼ cup Parsley, chopped

    How to Make Shrimp Scampi with Pasta

    Now let’s make some scrumptious scampi happen! There’s not much to this easy dinner recipe since all the steps are simple and easy to follow along with. This is a great recipe for beginner cooks to try when just starting out! Here’s how to make my easy shrimp scampi with pasta:

    Cooking Linguine:

    1. First, use the measuring cup and spoons to measure out the linguine ingredients. 
    2. Then, pour the oil, salt, and water into the cooking pot. 
    3. Bring the ingredients to a boil over high heat.
    4. Then, drop the heat to medium and add in the box of linguine pasta.
    5. Occasionally move the pasta around with kitchen tongs while cooking so the pasta doesn’t stick together.
    6. Cover with the lid and cook the linguine for 12 minutes stirring occasionally.
    7. Then, place a mesh strainer in a large glass bowl.
    8. Carefully and thoroughly drain the pasta through the strainer.
    9. Transfer the cooked pasta to a large serving bowl and set aside.

    Making Shrimp Scampi:

    1. Start by measuring out the shrimp and scampi ingredients. 
    2. Next, preheat a nonstick skillet over medium-high heat.
    3. Melt the butter in the skillet.
    4. Drop in the chopped shallots and minced garlic and sauté the ingredients until fragrant, about 3-4 minutes.
    5. Next, pour in cooking white wine.
    6. Then, add in the defrosted shrimp.
    7. Cook the shrimp for 2-3 minutes.
    8. Flip the shrimp and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
    9. Add in the salt and pepper and mix well.
    10. Next, transfer the cooked shrimp to a serving bowl and toss the shrimp with lemon juice. 
    11. Then, add the shrimp to the large bowl of linguine pasta.
    12. Garnish the scampi pasta with chopped parsley and toss the pasta again.
    13. Finally, serve and enjoy!

    How much lemon juice is in one lemon?

    One medium-sized lemon typically yields about 1 tablespoon of lemon zest and 2-3 tablespoons of lemon juice.

    • 1 lemon = 1 tbsp lemon zest
    • 1 lemon = 2-3 tbsp lemon juice

    If you’re looking for a lemon extract alternative, you can use:

    • 1 tsp of lemon extract = 2 tsp of lemon zest

    Storing Scampi with Pasta

    To store shrimp scampi with pasta: transfer the pasta to a shallow airtight container and store in the fridge for up to 3 days. Always label the date on the outside of the container to keep up with freshness. To reheat pasta, transfer it to a glass bowl and cover it with boiled water. Let sit for 5 minutes, drain, and serve. Reheat shrimp separately if possible.
