Easy pizza dough

To me, one of the best parts about the holiday season is all the yummy sweet treats that everyone makes! I love going to winter parties or holiday gatherings and trying out all the scrumptious homemade recipes that everyone brings. However, as a full-time kitchen enthusiast, I want to make sure that my own homemade treats always stand out from the rest.

That’s why I just can not get over these mouth-watering, swoon-worthy Holiday Peppermint White Chocolate Cookies! These scrumptious cookies are made with homemade chocolate-y, peppermint cookies, dipped in a melted white chocolate dip, and then topped with peppermint chips for the ultimate holiday sweet treat!

When I say these holiday cookies are unbeatable, I absolutely mean it! Every time I make a batch of these irresistible cookies for parties I almost never have any left at the end of the night. All it takes is one bite and you are hooked on these little treats. That also makes these cheerful holiday cookies perfect for gift-giving!

Package up a holiday goodie box with these festive cookies and a little love and you’ve got the perfect gift for anyone! Especially since it can already be really difficult (and expensive) to get all of your friends, family, and loved ones individual gifts. This is a much sweeter solution and you definitely don’t have to worry that they won’t like your gift.

Just talking about these divine cookies gets me excited and puts me in a festive, cheerful mood so let’s make a batch! Here’s how to make irresistible Holiday Peppermint White Chocolate Cookies!

    Holiday Cookie Equipment

First, we have to pull out all of the cookie equipment. It may look like a lot at first, but when you break this list down to making the cookie dough, making the dip, and packaging the finished cookies, it’s really not as much as it seems. Here’s what I use to make (and take) these adorable white chocolate peppermint cookies:

    • Measuring spoons
    • Measuring Cup
    • Dough scoop
    • Glass mixing bowl
    • Blending whisk
    • Hand mixer
    • Baking sheet
    • Parchment paper sheets
    • Wilton candy melts pot
    • Drying rack
    • 4 cupcake container
    • Wax paper square sheets
    • Homemade with Love Sticker

    Sweet and Simple Ingredients

Once you’ve gathered up the equipment, it’s time to set out the sweet and simple cookie ingredients. Surprisingly, I don’t have to use a lot of ingredients to make these irresistible cookies, and most of them I keep around since I bake all the time. Here are the ingredients for white chocolate-dipped peppermint cookies:

    • 2 eggs
    • 2 tsp vanilla extract
    • 1 tsp Peppermint extract
    • 1 ⅔ cups cake flour or all-purpose flour

    • 1 tsp baking soda
    • ½ tsp salt
    • 1 cup unsalted butter– room temperature
    • 1 ¼ cups sugar
    • ¾ cup Light Brown Sugar– packed

How to Make Perfect Peppermint White Chocolate Cookies

Now let’s make some holiday magic happen! There are a few phases to this recipe but overall it’s a really easy and simple process. Just read over the instructions before getting started so you know what to expect throughout the process as you make these yourself. Here’s how to make irresistible white chocolate peppermint cookies:

    Making the Chocolate Cookies:

    1. First, use the measuring cup and spoons to measure out all of the cookie ingredients.
    2. Then, in a small mixing bowl, use a blending whisk to combine the eggs, vanilla extract, and peppermint extract.
    3. Next, in a medium-size bowl, combine the cake flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
    4. Combine the dry ingredients with a clean blending whisk.
    5. Then, in a separate large bowl, beat together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar with a hand mixer.
    6. Keep beating until the butter and sugar mixture is mixed well and smooth.
    7. Next, pour the egg mixture into the butter mixture and mix again until everything is completely combined.
    8. Then, ⅓ at a time, add the dry ingredients into the wet, mixing well between each addition.
    9. Keep mixing until the cookie batter is completely combined. Then, line a baking sheet with a sheet of parchment paper.
    10. Next, use a small dough scoop(0.5 oz) to scoop rounded cookie dough balls onto the lined baking sheet. Don’t worry about spacing them out just yet.
    11. Chill the cookie dough in the fridge for 30 minutes. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
    12. Next, line a separate baking sheet with parchment paper. Transfer the chilled dough scoops onto the new baking sheet, spacing the dough balls 2 inch apart.
    13. Bake the holiday cookies for 8-10 minutes.
    14. Once baked to perfection, let the cookies cool slightly on the pan, then transfer them to a wire cooling rack to let them cool completely before dipping into the chocolate. If you try to dip warm cookies, the chocolate will just slide right off.

    Making the White Chocolate Dip:

    1. First, melt the white chocolate chips in a candy melting pot, one bag at a time. Remember to occasionally stir the chocolate with a silicone spatula while melting.
      1. Keep reading to see an alternative melting method if you don’t have a candy melting pot.
    2. Keep heating until all the chips are completely melted.
    3. Then, pour the melted chocolate into a small glass bowl.
    4. Next, prepare a sheet of parchment paper where you will be putting the chocolate-dipped cookies to set. Grab the cookies, peppermint chips, and white chocolate dip.
    5. Then, one at a time, fully emerge each of the cookies into the white chocolate. Use a fork to pull the cookies out of the chocolate after dipping.
    6. Check to make sure the cookie is completely covered in chocolate.
    7. Then, gently place the dipped cookie on the parchment paper and immediately sprinkle peppermint chips on top. Repeat for the remaining cookies.
    8. Finally, after dipping, let the white chocolate peppermint cookies set completely before serving or packaging.

    Alternative Chocolate-Melting Method

If you don’t have a nifty candy melting pot in your kitchen collection, here is a simple microwave melting method that will work for anyone!

How to Melt Candy Melts in the Microwave:

    1. First, pour the candy melts into a heat-safe bowl or silicone measuring cup.
    2. Then, heat the candy melts in the microwave at 50% power, or on a defrost setting, for 1 minute.
    3. Next, stir the candies thoroughly.
      1. Use a towel or an oven mitt to protect your hand from the heat when handling the bowl or cup.
    4. Then, continue to microwave the candies at the same low setting in 15-30 second intervals, stirring in between each interval, until the candy is almost melted.
    5. Finally, let the candy sit for about 1 minute to let the residual heat take care of any small unmelted pieces of candy leftover.
      1. If you try another interval of cooking at this point, the candy could overcook and burn so it’s better to let the candy sit and take care of itself.

The best way to store chocolate-dipped cookies is to transfer them to an airtight container lined with paper towels. Stack the cookies in between wax paper layers, if necessary.
