Just absolutely terrible. The worst tripod head I've ever owned.

Just absolutely terrible. The worst tripod head I've ever owned.
Oh Manfrotto MH055M8-Q5 055 MAG Photo-Movie Head, where do I start? It's a good idea. A hybrid video-still photo head that switches back and forth between modes, perfect for a video DSLR. But in terms of execution, Manfrotto completely and totally whiffed.1) It's awkard to use. Most of the knobs and switches are poorly located. The pan handle constantly knocked up against the Manfrotto tripod legs I use. When panning left or right the drag control knob would catch on the bubble level of tripod unless turned upwards. The side-mounted tension adjustment knob was counter-intuitive to use and out of proportion. It had another, smaller knob nestled inside of it, the purpose of which I never found before it fell out one day.2) It doesn't work right. The fluid pans and tilts are anything but. Panning in any direction is jerky, rough. Lots of hesitation. The knobs controlling drag have two modes - spinning wildly, or total lockdown. There is no in-between. The spirit bubble levels aren't accurate and are inconveniently located, making them useless in the dark. The movie -> photo switch is loose but locks into place, which would be good except that it locks at a weird angle that isn't quite level.3) Everything, literally every moving part on it breaks easily or falls off.So far, in the six months that I've been using this head, the following parts have broken or fallen off:- Both drag adjust knobs fell off and went missing- Tightening knob for handle never fit right and fell out- Pan handle fell off, lost at sea- The loop connecting the handle to the head snapped in half- Torque adjust knob on the side suddenly fell off, with all of its associated washers bouncing everywhere- Counter balance switch snapped off- Tripod mount plate snapped in halfUntil the tripod mount plate broke, this head was still at least slightly useable. I'm very disappointed in the total nose-dive that Manfrotto has taken quality-wise over the last few years. I do not recommend this product for any even slightly professional work, as its design and craftsmanship leaves much to be desired.

I got this through Amazon India and the same was delivered on time and in good condition ..... As of now I have used it only on a few occasions; apart from few test videos ..... It is a great product for beginners/amateurs/serious enthusiasts/experts; who use DSLRS for photography as well as for shooting videos. Some people say its complicated to understand; but in my view if you have used tripod heads, this is simple to understand and a breeze to operate ..... Its a winner from Manfrotto once again .... It is expensive yes; but quality comes at a price ..... ..... Don't just take my word for it .... please go and check it out yourself....
I attached medium to fairly heavy lenses on the head and it held well .... some pics added for review reference ....
